Your breath is your anchor during birth . It is the most powerful tool that you have to make your birth comfortable. By breathing correctly you will constantly be in a state of calm which will assist your body during labour. Often when we are anxious and fearful we breathe in a very shallow way and sometimes we do not even realize but we are actually holding our breath and this is the last thing we want to be doing during birth. Breathing also feeds your uterus the necessary oxygen it needs to function properly which will allow the muscle to work efficiently and comfortably.

You will learn 3 different breaths during this session;

Calm breath: to keep you in a constant state of calm

Surge breath: To assist your uterus during a contraction

J breath: To assist your body during descent and pushing of your baby
